spondylolisthesis is a condition of vertebral instability, characterized by forward slippage of a vertebral body with respect to the underlying.
In this case the sliding of the fifth lumbar vertebra on the sacrum. The
spondylolisthesis can be extremely varied and the most frequent are those caused by degenerative phenomena (pseudospondilolistesi) and those caused by an isthmus lysis (break congenital or traumatic vertebral isthmus).
The isthmic spondylolisthesis in turn can be low-or high-vertebral dysplasia. High dysplasia affects a malformation of the vertebral bodies and is due to progression of the slip.
spondylolisthesis high dysplasia is a high risk of deterioration and must be treated surgically.
